Roadworks On Willows Lane/Richmond Road and Richmond Street

There are roadworks on Willows Lane, Richmond Road & Richmond Street with temp traffic lights set up today, avoid this route.:do-one: :do-one: :jimbo: :jimbo:

And there are temp roads signs in a line due to be set up.

There are potholes at the end of Monk Street even though it's less than three years since the unadopted road was resurfaced, could you get the guys to do something about that?

Why ?

I passed it this afternoon taking the dog up Bullough Park . No problems . And the dog didn't appear to be troubled by it either . ;)

I also saw a Pendle private hire taxi parked near Willows Lane , with the taxi firms name being Beez .

I don't mean pedestrians/dog walkers JCB. I mean drivers.

We have 2 x 15 yr olds and a near 14 yr old in this house and they wouldn't even know about any roadworks if it wasn't for me cursing them in the car :)

Strange hobby for a 12 yr old... roadworks stalking

No Wyn . The owner , Ali , is at the moment only using it for functions such as weddings , but he does intend it to be used as a restaurant pretty soon .

Now that Ramadan is over it's pandemonium round here at weekends with Asian weddings .

But he has made the building look really good after it had deteriorated when it ceased to be the chapel .

Good point. Still, one could always get tanked up in Wetherspoons, then get the Willows Lane bus up there.

I remember the Spinning Jenny opening . It was at the start of the Accrington holiday fortnight , and I think I spent most of the fortnight there .

When they got Boddingtons in , mild and bitter , it was the best pint around .

Ya JCB Boddies was an acquired taste, you either liked it or hated it, I was one of those who loved it, very much different than the normal bitters from Thwaites Duttons and Lions who's bitter was considerably darker. another light bitter I loved was Hartleys bitter, from Ulverston brewery, that was like nectar from the gods

It was the mild , Jaysay , that I enjoyed . I started on mild and stayed on mild , as well as my favourite , Guinness . I never took to bitter .

For a while the Willow Mount and Sacred Heart clubs had Chesters mild , another one I really enjoyed .

Never had Boddies mild JCB, but tried Chesters in the Stop and Rest on occasions, but I've always been a bitter man myself
