Stolen handbag

Hi all,

Was just going through the LT and saw this article.

I live in this area but wasnt in at the time.

If anyone saw anything I am sure this lil old lady would apprciate it.

I cannot believe some people doing this to a defenceless lady.

83-year-old Accrington woman has handbag stolen from her on the doorstep (From Lancashire Telegraph)

There are some real scumbags around :( Chances are that he's local too if he knew that an old lady lived in that particular house. Sigh.

Think your right Pud, these low life's know where vulnerable people live, the problem is when or if they are caught nothing is done to deter them a suspended sentence or fines and if they are sent down, young offenders are sent to Lancaster Farm, better known as Butlins for yobs:mad:

Yep I agree nowt will be done at all when they catch whoever did this.

At least the lady wasnt hurt, well at least not physically. :(

Did they put cameras up on the church after the recent metal thefts? I know there was mention at one point. If so they might have caught something???

If I had been home and seen this happening or some one running down my street with a handbag in there arms I would have deffinatly tried to trip them up or stop them.

Like to see them try to arrest me for it Cashy!! ;)

Have just thought a lady around that age who ive known since childhood,lives on yon, a relation of our own, Bob Dobson, hope it aint her,shes a smashing lass.:eek:

Thought I read it in the paper after they had the lead flashing stolen. Maybe I dreamt it :) Or maybe they're short on funds again :(
