How thoughtfull men can be.

My wife hates ladders and used to struggle emulsioning the ceilings( no problem with the walls). Solution- I bought her a brand new roller with an extending handle-problem solved and it didn't cost much. Also it means I don't have to offer to hold the ladders(very boring and I know I'm in the way).
She has a weak wrist and used to struggle opening tins, even after I bought her a new opener from Poundland. Solution- an electric can opener from a car boot sale! Yes I know it cost money but she's worth it.
Our old mower was very heavy and it took her half an hour to start the engine. Solved- I bought her a second hand Hovermower for her birthday. It's the smallest one so it takes her ages but I'm sure it's less tireing.
How have you other (gentle)men shown similar care and consideration towards your partners?( Less and the gas mask was a shining example). I'm always open to ideas.
Perhaps the ladies can tell us how we have helped them and give us a few suggestions (preferably ones which don't cost much).

That does sound a dangerous diet.

Most prefer to shake their lettuce, and enjoy a nice big carrot.

I remember her saying, when she was digging her potatoes up, the rabbits had been at her lettuce.

(Don't anybody dare twist that!)

Well i'm no second hand cheapskate, bought the late missus "Brand New Kneepads" to smooth the concrete in the back yard that she had laid, i also turned the tap on when she required water.

I know, Margaret, I can't believe how married life has softened me and brought out the teddy bear in me. I didn't used to be so thoughtfull, she used to really struggle sometimes.

Yeah so did mine, I blame it on this womens lib malarcy, brain washing them into thinking they could multitask.
I always used to say, don't struggle trying to do two things at once woman, prioritise!
Bring me my fresh can of beer then fetch the coal in. (it got to be such a problem that as soon as I heard her moving the coal skuttle, I'd put my shoes on and go the pub to save her from displaying her shortfallings).

Quite right Retlaw, she shouldn't have time for playing around on computers anyway.

A bit harsh in my opinion, I'm not against women being able to handle a computer 'carefully'.

Surely she should be encouraged to learn the correct way of cleaning the screen and how to hoover the biscuit crumbs from the difficult to reach nooks and crannies of a keyboard?

Can't believe your generosity ... I mean, a handsaw would have been cheaper ... and wrapped nicely, and placed near the tree would have made a great gift:alright: And then you would have cash left over for other little gifts, a new mop and pail for example:D

LOGAN, Utah ~ A Utah woman became very exasperated by her husband’s video game addiction, so she listed him for sale.

The spurned wife made good on her threat/promise by posting a classified ad on her local version of the online yard sale website. The ad, posted on the Logan, Utah section of Craigslist, read as follows;

“I am selling my 22 year old husband. He enjoys eating and playing video games all day. Easy to maintain, just feed and water every 3-5 hours, must have internet and space for gaming. If acceptable replacement is offered will trade.”

Perhaps some of you experts might give 22 yr old Kyle a few tips on how to keep his lady-wife happy....:D

Young and dangerous, still has illusions of hope & that she could improve her lot.

The trouble is, she should have been taught at her mothers knee that the only really satisfying way of life is to ensure her spouses comfort and enjoyment at all times.

Then she will reap the reward of the loving gifts he is willing to festoon upon her.

Perhaps it isn't to late maybe if someone could email her a copy of this thread she would realise that such lavish gifts that are displayed are not beyond her grasp, if only she is prepared to go that extra mile.

Damn right .... I think Kyle was too good to her ... buying all those labor saving devices that allowed her to watch way too much Jerry Springer and re-runs of Oprah:eek:

Quite right Less I actually bought my wife a little mini vacuum cleaner specially made for cleaning your computer keyboard and some special wipes for the screen, I put in on her daily rota for cleaning so she could keep on top of the problem of crumb build up, but I did find it tedious trying to work it into her tight schedule for when I wasn't on line;)
