Accyweb - mentioned in dispatches
 

I have taken on a volunteer role with new era, as a tutor of basic IT through the Race Online project Home | Race Online 2012 , the idea of which is to get people online and using the internet that haven't done before or that need a little help in doing so. As part of the course we highlight the various uses the internet has to offer including useful sites for our users. I mentioned to Richard about Accyweb and we have decided to include the site into the course. Hopefully we can attract a few new members along the way.

as an aside if anyone would like to get involved in the project (there are many roles to choose from)contact Richard at new era. we are also looking for various venues across the Accrington community where we can run these courses an also if anyone knows anywhere we can get our hands on donated IT equipment in any condition it would be a great help.

One of the people from the New Era came into my place of work a few weeks ago to deliver some leaflets and I have volunteered to do some family history sessions for them

This will be in the new year and I am looking forward to it.

There's no real need Ma, because guaranteed there's a Wife, Mum or Girlfriend just waiting in the wings to do it for us. (Again :D)
