Telephone numbers

While I've got my grumble hat on, doe's anyone feel like me that since they put charges on getting a telephone number, that finding a number in the telephone books has gone a lot more difficult.
Or could it just be me getting a little bit older.

With mobile use overtaking landlines the phone book is becoming obsolete anyway. It used to be a challenge to rip it in half, now it's almost a booklet.

A lot of people are going private these days, hoping to prevent spam calls. I have an old 1984 telephone book, and you'd be surpried how many not in the new phone book, are still in the old one.
