To blot out the noise of a local night club and some anti-social neighbours!

I think they were the "mods and rockers" generation - i.e. the ones that used to pop speed pills and then downers! :mosher:

It's not a generational thing.

Quite a few old soul boys on here didn't dance all night because they'd had their Weetabix, that morning.

Five years at art school, then a career in fashion, meant I came into contact with a lot of drugs.

Big difference today, twenty five years ago I couldn't score locally within ten munutes, which I could do now, if I so wish.

You? Have anti-social neighbours?

Perhaps they are fed up with you Bogarting that joint?

Please, stop dragging addicts into your gutter!

I thought it was those naughty flashing traffic lights, keeping you up?

The other reasons you said you weren't going to discuss.

Remember?

I find that if you take the time to actually talk to some sleep preventing traffic lights, very often they'll listen to what you say, as to why they're keeping you awake.

A little patience will more than likely result in them being much less flashy.

You omit to mention if you took any?

20 years ago could score locally. Why can you score now if you wish, are you saying the amount of dealers has increased?

I have a noisey neighbourhood - full stop! I guess I am a country boy at heart and long to be back in quiet Lancashire! :)

Yeah ... so that she couldn't see your ugly mug, or listen to your drunken snoring;):D

Just an aside. I was watching late nite tv yesterday, plumbing the depths of the stupid ... reality garbage:mad: During the commercial break, there was an ad for a particular drug (now that "drug" has become a pejorative, maybe "medication" would be better:rolleyes:) ... I don't remember what it was called, but it had something to do with heart problems. About 15 seconds of the ad extolled the virtues of the medication ... for the next 45 seconds we hear of the side effects .... "possible death" was one of them ... ouch. So I mellowed myself out with a good old fashioned gagger:D And sat there with my illegal smile ...

Undoubtedly.

I didn't leave this area until I was eighteen, and the only drugs you saw then were a few old pot smoking hippies.

I could score any drugs you care to ingest within ten minutes now.

If like me, your housemate moved their partner in to the house you shared, who turned out to be a smack head, you might have a different view, on the misery and degradation recreational drugs can cause.

You could get a lot of drugs in Accy in the late 80's with the rave thing going on! Even in 70's if you were older and knew where to go likewise.

Where I live there have been junkies in the area and back in 80's I was in a house briefly with some junkies - these people are heroine addicts. But you also see similar people hooked on drink.
