The Suffering of Children

I am finding it hard to watch many of the news reports at the moment.

The tragic deaths of the Belgian children in the coach crash, the torture of children in Syria.....and now the shooting of children in Toulouse.

It is all so upsetting.....

I think you missed my point Susie. My comment wasn't about my viewing habits.

It was about the spate of shocking high profile suffering that children are undergoing at the moment.

I think she understood, what you are suffering is the Diana syndrome, your heart bleeds too much.
Unfortunately these things happen in life, no use getting over-emotional, it can't help them and won't do you any good.
Her advise is sound.

Less, that is exactly what I meant. Thank you for saving me having to spell it out myself, which is what I was about to do when I saw your post.

I think a lot of people are desensitized by all the violence on TV so when they see it on the news they still think it's a TV drama.

There is a lot of evil around in the world! :hidewall:

They don't show the violence on the news, just a watered down version. Maybe if they did show what is really happening other countries would go to their aid sooner.

lets face it a country only gets help if theres something worth getting out of it or if government wants to save face and not look bad.

when the pakistani eartquakes happened i didnt wait for our government to get into action i legged it down to poundland and bought a dustpan and shovel and sent it out there as fast as i could

I think its terrible the way the news keeps on and on showing these things. I know its absolutly disgusting to say the least what is happening out there but must they make a meal of it ( like the poor kids on the bus crash) milking every bit of grief from families and such.
We cant do anything about these apauling crimes with the children being torchured, why must we be bombarded with these images. We know whats happening why rub it in. Stuff like this has gone on since time began and in some countries this savagery has not changed or will ever.
Weve enough to think about in THIS COUNTRY with this barbaric government and its mad policies without taking on more misery

Yes we all agree.

The second poster offered a sensible solution, in black & white.

the world has always been this way....it is just that it wasn't shoved in your face at teatime.
I agree with Susie123....switch off the TV.

Oh! How nearly amusing, a play not just on words, but an attempt at insulting me with my user name.

I wonder why other morons haven't thought of that?

Hang on, they have, not one tear have I shed when they announce in a dummy spitting moment that they will no longer post on here.

The only difference between them & you? They kept their word.

Do you realise if we could find another one of you we would have a wit?
