Annual Cost of things
Take a guess a what costs the most in Hyndburn.
10,568 Street lights Maintaining 367km of roads (228 miles) 5 Libraries and mobile libraries Trading Standards 106 Children being looked after through foster care 10 supported bus routes So all the above added together or 365 adults looked after in residential homes. |
Re: Annual Cost of things
Presumably 365 adults, but looking at it logically if we gave them all 1km of road to look after they would help to pay off their keep :)

Re: Annual Cost of things
Dunno but I figured out recently that 4 cups of coffee per day at work at 25p a time-- If I was to spend every day of the year at work and not having a break at all, it would be £365!

For the Care - £11,673,000 (source some stuff that came with my CT bill). £31,980 Per adult, per year, does this seem expensive? or am I missing something? |

Ok ... I'm a little confused:confused: 365 adults looked after in residential homes ... why? Are these old folks ... Ooops Senior Citizens;) ... do they have medical problems ... ? Would they be otherwise homeless?

Re: Annual Cost of things
I'm still not sure what the payments are for:confused: I could have gotten the information from Mr. Google. Damned funny those perfect tenses, eh ... especially for the irregular verbs.;) Seems to me that, in many cases, Lancashire dialect is closer to "correct" English than is contemporary usage. I'll have to think about that ... either do some research, or have a beer. Think I'll go for the beer.:dancedog:
