Building work under one of the railway arches
It must be a while since any building work took place IN one of the railway arches in Accrington. Remember the old buildings that were "un-earthed" when the Bull Bridge area was given a makeover c1986?
If you walk along Blackburn Road towards the arches (pass Edgar St) and there, just after the back alley, is where they are working. One of the builders said it was gonna be offices? Will post a few photos. |

Totally agree with this, I drove past the other day and asked me Mum whether anyone actually works in any of them. Who's bought these under the arches and paying for the offices to be built? |
Re: Building work under one of the railway arches
Aren't the arches Grade II listed? Do they have the appropriate premissions?

Re: Building work under one of the railway arches
All very strange, they were talking about getting rid of dangerous businesses from under railway arches, scrap yards and so on, Rising Bridge is nothing short of a scandal
