How would you vote in a General Election?
Since we're probably mid-term now, before there's another General Election, if one was called tomorrow, how would you vote?
Or would you vote? Just think it might be interesting to know, seeing as there's a little disagreement in a thread, about who's leading who in the latest polls. Hopefully I'll be able to offer as many voting options, that might mirror the choices we'll actually have. This, like a real election, will be a secret poll. |
Re: How would you vote in a General Election?
iv gone UKIP but was pretty torn between UKIP and TORY
i like UKIP because they want out of the EU and wouldnt back down on it i thought tory because in reality its always been between tory and labour and a vote for tory helps get rid of our current fella and if 5 years max of a tory mp is teh price that has to be paid then so be it. i would consider my vote if cast for the tory's a deal with the devil rather than them having my support:) |
Re: How would you vote in a General Election?
If they pinned a Labour rosette on a donkey, I'd vote for it. I am that man.

Have'nt seen any one worth voting for since Churchill & Atlee, passed on, we might as well dig them up, and give them their seats back, they had more guts than any of this lot we have now.

I cannot see anyone in any political party with any real credentials to lead this country. I think the penny is beginning to drop with the three main parties - they are 'considering' a referendum on the membership of the EU. Whatever that might mean. Considering doesn't cut it with me I want a cast iron guarantee to have a say in democracy.......until then I will draw and write stuff on my ballot paper....I will go to the polls though - manily to show that I can be 'assed'.......and that my decision is not based on apathy, but pure lack of real choice. |

U.K.I.P. as a protest, one trick pony - probably, but am that annoyed at the gutless 3 mains.

Re: How would you vote in a General Election?
seeing as there is no local Tory "candidate" to consider against Graham how can anyone really say? If you are asking at a National level of peoples feelings for the current government then that is a different question. it would also beg to bring up the fact the world is in a bad state right now would a Labour or Lib Dem gov really be able to do any different that the Tory's are?
I think more and more people are looking for a way to isolate ourselves against Europe and the crisis thats about to engulf Greece/Spain/Portugal etc. ( I work with colleagues in the last 2 countries and a good number they are looking to come to work in the UK as they can see how strong the UK is as opposed to their own countries. ) As such UKIP etc will if they play a strong card do well that is unless the Tories give us the referendum. would people vote for Labour on a "promise" after all we've had Labour promises before. In all personal honesty I'm still very much in the "none of the above are worthy" camp but that doesn't get us anywhere.. sometimes you have to choose the best of a bad lot. |
Re: How would you vote in a General Election?
Best of a bad lot may be acceptable to some, not to me.

When you choose something that is second best, you are never truly satisfied with it....and none of the current mob are fit for purpose.
