In 1956, there was only Haworth's of Steinway House and possibly Woolworth's where records could be bought in Acc. Then the shop I am talking about opened. I will enquire as to the name. Disc & Tape doesn't ring any bells.

Paulines Shop @ Marys were on the same block on Whalley Rd Marys was corner of block(Bottom of Dowry St) Paulines was around the centre of the block, virtually across the road from the Polish Grocers, This would be mid 60s Remember also another record shop before Wollworths on Broadway, forgot the name, but it had booths in were yeh could listen to a new record yeh were thinking of buying. also mid 60s, Disc n Tape arrived in 70s i reckon?:)

I've checked with the afore-mentioned Eunice Kerr. She says it was 'Abbey TV'. r co-worker was Joan - I've forgotten her surname. Eunice's dad was a top snooker player and ref. Her only had one leg. They lived on Derby St. She has a brother, Michael.
