The marquess of northampton

Wow! I have just sat up, so quickly, I nearly banged my head!

I am amazed at what I have just read in today's Daily Mail.
A double page feature all about the 5th wife of a Marquess having an affair. Nothing unusual about that - but ... read on ....

The Marquess of Northampton (First name Spencer) is married, for the 5th time, to Lady Pamela Northampton.
The story begins explaining the goings-on and then, without further ado, states:- "Spencer Northampton, one of Britains wealthiest aristocrats and affectionately known as "Spenny" to his friends, has already offered ACCRINGTON born, half Italian Lady Pamela a £15m settlement, including a £4 home in Pimlico, West London.
Lady Pamela, a tool-maker's daughter, who began life in a Lancashire council house, wants £10m more

Wow! Now this HAS caught my interest (even more than Fifty Shades of Gray" tee hee)

Born -

Pamela Martina Raphaela Haworth.

Some reports states her father, who is still alive and lives in Middlesex, was a land agent.

The Daily Fail has her father to be a toolmaker(originally) and her italian mother, a dressmaker.

You can take the girl out of Accy, but you can't take Accy out of the girl.

What does that mean? No idea!

She wants a couple of pints of Thwaites, some proper fish & chips & a season ticket for the crown. ;)

Her Accringtonian father, James Haworth, now lives with a hairdresser in a bungalow in Staines, and is a bit Mutt and Jeff.

There was a Pamela Matrina Raphaela Haworth born in 1951, registered in Haslingden, whose mother's maiden name was Vardamega. Father James Haworth.

Anyone remember them?

Although her parents Martina Vardamega and James Haworth seem to have married in Eton, in 1950.

Perhaps he got a job as a land agent up here, and their daughter Pamela was born here the following year.

Guessing now.

:D

Name given when married to Northampton - Pamela Martina Raphaela Kyprios Haworth.

GeneAll.net - Spencer Douglas David Compton, 7th Marquess of Northampton

Already sounds a bit fancy, and exotic, for an Accy lass.

Perhaps her first husband was a local Greek chippy owner.

:rolleyes::D

The Kyprios bit in her name likely refers to the wealthy greek she was married to before the Marquess.

I recall the Daily Fail mentioned him. (She has been married 3 times)

Not a Greek fish fryer then?

I guess her sort wouldn't have been happy baggin' up dabs.

When the Marchioness was born in 1951, her parents — Jim, then a toolmaker, and Martina, an Italian dressmaker — were living in a council house in Accrington, Lancashire. The couple later ran a B&B called La Gondola in the Kent seaside resort of Margate.
