All this business about high profile people resigning when the kak hits the fan means nothing..heads of banks or ministers and such resign almost weekly but it don't make any difference..anyone should need one look and listen to Theresa May or Osbourne to work out they are as thick as two short planks.
Cameron picked these idiots but not much chance of him resigning.

...and if she does resign, will her replacement be any better?...and if we have an election, and Labour get in, will Yvette Cooper be any better?

If you look at previous home secretaries on both sides of the political divide, I would say not!

The job of Home Secretary is a poison chalice, because they are in charge of a department that isn't fit for purpose.

There seems to be an army of faceless bureaucrats telling them everything is ok, while the reality is totally different.

The one to go is the complete barnpot who allowed G4S within a million miles of anything to do with Olympics security.

This is the same company which, as Group 4, used to lose prisoners for fun transporting them from prisons to court.

The company was a joke then, and is a bigger joke now.

I agree with who should go but the Home Secretary should be sorting out the whole department if it is as bad as you say

Think your the only one talking sense here gynn, G4 are one of the biggest security firms in the world, and and politician is only as good as the information they are given by their advisers, i.e. civil servants, who first and foremost protect their own arses. No doubt the same people allowed G4 into the Olympic security, were the same people who put them in charge of prisoner transportation and prisoner home monitoring via tagging, the politicians change but the faceless wonders behind the scenes don't, but at least Teresa's husband hasn't been renting porn films at taxpayers expense:rolleyes:

There isn't another security firm in England big enough to undertake this job, the advisers are civil servants and we all know that these people are fireproof

they were caught out doin it on the cheap to maximise profit for their hedge fund and camerons mates this is why we are in so much debt .even labour have been at fault here .so much money has been wasted subsidising private companies ie railways etc this proves the shareholding hedge fund quick buck mentality doesnt work.the civil servants to blame for this are the politicians.one day doing the olympics the next day on the dole thats the tory way.the tories say we are tough on immigration ye right who is going to control it when there isnt enough staff they have brought in immigration officials from the u.s.a. to help how much will that cost:confused:

Must be quite a lot of deaths amongst the unemployed just lately, can't think of any other reason for the figures to go down.
