Collapse of a wall

The collapse of a wall on Blackburn road, I hope no-one was hurt.
I was walking past whilst the emergency services dealt with this, A brown eyed bro' as I walked passed turned to me and said, "nothing for you to see, keep walking you white person", I answered, "I'm already walking, unlike you I don't want to see whatever harm has come to someone".

Nice to know our coloured brethren are fitting right in with the British culture, multi-culti Britain .................... Don't you just love it ?

Just a thought, did you offer to nip off home to grab a spade to help ?

It was nasty to see, plenty of White, (am I allowed to say white), folk watching as well as brown eyes, (am I allowed to say brown eyes), I didn't want to be involved, (if I look close into the mirror, I have brown eye's), but why Did this Picky Bastweard pick on me rather than realise this is a 'Community' tragedy?

As I said, I hope no-one was harmed, no matter what colour of eye they have.

Funny, isn't it that I'd mentioned a guy on scaffolding on B'burn rd. to you, he was an accident waiting to happen, then there's another one within a few yards!

I'm sure that most people that witnessed this, no matter what colour of eye want anything but good, surely I just met someone objectionable?

Something similar happened in May this year (according to local paper) was todays at the same site or a completely separate incident ?

This is the link to travel news from Lancashire Telegraph - it looks like it's between Lang Street and Portland Street.

??? Forgive my ignorance, not from the area you see. :) But looking at your photo & that from the paper (yours as ref) it was on the right hand side behind the bus shelter ?

A Guilty Conscience. He probably thought you were a building inspector and was terrified at what you'd find.

It was the wall of the Sahad takeaway, after all!

There not used to brick & stone construction, still in the mud & straw era. Probably no insurance either.

not to worry if they havnt im sure a grant will be arranged to fix it like they have done twice for the same houses repeatedly in that area.

when the alterations were made to the shop shouldnt there have been an inspection of some sort to make sure it was up to code?

Went past on the bus yesterday on way back from Blackburn, the road still open then and lots of folk and police looking in some alarm at the front of building, it was still intact at the time. I had noticed that the signage of Sahad was missing day before, assumed taking the opportunity during Ramadhan to do the work as they would be quiet. It's a well used and popular establishment, I hope they can re open soon.

( Nice to see that thinly veiled racist comments are now allowed on here...NOT !!)

Cashy of course it was racist, however, it was my own fault, I was walking along Blackburn Rd, alone without a native guide and without a permit from a Community Leader, I had no right to be there in broad daylight, no wonder this brown eye, (I use this term because the swear checker doesn't allow P aki, (not deliberately getting around the checker for any reason other than explanation (even though they use the term themselves))) took offence at me being there.
:)
