Was that a political statement?

If so, perhaps it should have been backed up by a statistic such as:-

95% of the residents of Hyndburn don't know where Accrington is.

:)

Amazing...the last day of your holiday in Gran Canaria and what are you doing? Going for a nice relaxing swim in the sea? Doing a bit of sightseeing with Nicola?

No, you're setting up pointless polls on Accyweb.

What a strange way to spend your holiday!

Got to be careful with a two year old Wyn, can't take it out into all that sunshine, so has to sit in his room while-ing away his time as best he can.

Are you suggesting it's a googling holiday?

Not really going there, just virtually visiting via his keyboard?

Now that is a cheap holiday.

I can see this poll being a one horse race now that there's a serious contender. (Mine is a postal vote!)

Especially now that the colour purple is his official campaign colour - good luck for sure!;)

Contain yourself, woman! ;) Look, Accyweb is a no-nonsense, straight-talking sort of forum...in fact, it's a reflection of the down-to-earth attitudes of the local populance. If somebody comes on here and starts spouting bull, they're soon sussed out and receive the ridicule that they so richly deserve. It's what Accringtonians (and those from surrounding towns) do!

They wouldn't be able to announce it on site though, that is a reason why we have the data protection act.

Some years ago, the site had been set up so that when we viewed who's online, it would show the flag of the Country they were viewing in, that had to be removed.

Is It?

In the hands of the PC brigade it can be a pain, but the basic idea is fine.

It was a fun system seeing where people were viewing from, but I suppose because it wasn't something you could opt out of it, it was an infringement on your privacy. Whereas in your profile you could actually put your home address if you wished, but that is a voluntary thing, you don't have to put anything, or you could even live in your own fantasy world, (not that anyone on here would of course).
;)

Please note, There is an urgent need for the tourist dollar in Boloxnia, do visit.

They wouldn't be able to announce it on site though, that is a
reason why we have the data protection act.

Yeah I know about the data protection act. I have to sign a document at work about that every so often. A lot of it is use of computers, only use parts of system you are authorised for, for specific job and such.

Lately we have been warned about Mobile phones. If caught with a mobile turned on, It is confiscated till end of day. Second time being caught it is instant dismissal.
