Re: Cleanest Streets
A big contribution to messy streets are the gobs of gum which end up ingrained in the pavement. These are impossible for street sweepers to remove. What a disgusting habit.

Re: Cleanest Streets
I've just had a thought....is it dog muck?....it could be the one of the Maundy wino's, druggies & wastrels.

However the appearance of the road means the lowlifes who don't pick up their dog poo think it doesn't matter even though the road is used by a lot of young children who live here and play out in safety because its nice and quiet. |

If we want clean streets, we need to kill not the dog's but the owners that say poochie is wonderful and should be allowed to crap wherever I take him. :D |

Re: Cleanest Streets
If ours are the cleanest streets in Lancashire there must be some right old middens about! I walk down Water Street and thru the bus station 5 days a week and let me tell you it is not clean, this week so far I have seen disgarded glass bottles, underwear, used sanitary towels, empty methadone bottles and the usual assorted dog mess and normal litter.....
Cleanest streets?? Don't make me laugh. ( unless this survey was done when Her Maj was here!!) |

Re: Cleanest Streets
If that's dog kak then the owners have to take most from it.. you can't expect to have a full time team clearing up any streets under the present government cuts..people were told this would happen and so it's a waste of valuable tory time to start moaning now.
|
Re: Cleanest Streets
People were told that the streets would not be cleaned because of "cuts" and most people thought we would have to suffer it..that's the way it is..no point moaning now.
Moaning about clean streets seems small fry when it comes to the massive cuts on caring for the old and infirm in any town these days..wake up |
