As for the cat n dog thing, it's the norm, and people don't like to think different, I don't think cats are much better than dogs with traffic,

Yeh and cats don't tend to run down the middle of the road? They usually find a nice quiet spot to sit out of harms way, though you do get the occasional ones walking round in the street approaching strangers. Cats can also quietly walk from garden to garden, were as a dog wouldn't do that and if it did it would be much more noisey and troublesome.

Well yeh that's right not to mention wild birds and animals! Which is why I wonder if they really need to be allowed to roam free?

this is a question to cat owners, if a neighbour knocked on your door, and demand money for your cats vandalism of his flower beds, would you pay up?

No! Unless there was proof?

I dont like cats at all, I have a water pistle by the front and back door in case any come into the garden for a poo, water scares em more than anything else as they dont like it. Some round my end have even learnt to poo in next garden and not mine! :)

Using a water pistol is a good idea for cats - certainly cool them down! :D

and what sort of proof, catching the cat out of hits head on catnip, ripping up the daisies on cctv?

I know it's the wrong section, but as I'm giving it away here seems as good a place as any.

Black cat suit, free to a good home.

One owner.

Similar look to mohair.

Inbox me for further details.

Rat poison in a bowl of cat food usually does the trick.

Same as Kes, I would pay but only if it could be proved it was my cat. As for letting them out, cats are loners and like to go out on their own and check their territories whereas dogs like to be taken out for walks.

We once had two goats and used to take them for walks in the woods behind where we lived. We only used to put a lead on one and the other would follow as they are herd animals. Actually a lead wasn't really necessary as they would both follow me who they saw as herd leader.

So each animal has different behaviour patterns and you can't judge them all the same way.

I have caught next door's cat out of its head on my catnip which my cat won't touch!

Would have to be photographic proof, like I photo dog poo when I see it being deposited, or obviously if we we were known to have the only cat in the area I would feel responsible.

couldnt resist, but this ties in with the "should drugs be legalised" thread

soft drugs like catnip, only lead to higher class drugs, like mushrooms, just ask kes's cat,:D:D:D:D
