Funeral Hearses
 

Recently on TV there was a report of a Fleetwqod undertaker who has a hearse made out of and designed to look like a Reliant Robin as used by Del Boy Trotter in Only Fools and Horses. I thought about it today as I walked to the crematorium for a funeral
What would I like to be carried in? The answer was -in a hearse designed in the colours of an Accrington Corporation 'bus.
I hoped that some enterprising undertaker will take up this idea and let me know about its introduction
What are your thoughts on this?

Anything would better than one of those black glass-sided wagons drawn by black horses with black plumes. I find them truly depressing. I once saw a white version for a child's funeral and even that was mournful. At least Bob's idea would inject some lightness into the proceedings.

Well if he went to his funeral in a tram it would give him one last chance to go off the rails.

To be honest if they chuck me in a bin wagon n dump me up Whinney Hill, i aint really fussed, Anyone left may have concerns but not me.

A friend of mine built his own hearse out of an ex Post Office Leyland DAF van.
He had his coffin made and kept it in the hearse. He drive the vehicle to motor shows.
The police told him he should not have the coffin in the back so it now resides in a compartment under the deck.
You can just see the coffin in the back in the photo before it was removed.

I'm with you on this one ... altho' Whinney Hill is too far away:D ... didn't take me long to figure out that when it was time for my funeral I would be dead. So, it's no longer my problem really. Only thing I have decided to do is to hold my wake when I'm still here. If there's going to be folks drinking and telling each other lies about what a great guy I am (was), I want in on the party.:theband: And come to think of it, I do believe I signed something or other when I renewed my drivers licence. Which means that some clumsy first year med students will cut me up into little peices.

I reckon I'll probably be like this. My Mother has already said she wants to be thrown in the bin!lol.
I was at my friend's funeral yesterday, it was a great send off but so many people turned up, all who adored him and it made me so sad, as he'd taken his own life :(

dont you bloody dare the lastt time someone was burried in a skip there they shut the place down and i had to take mi rubbish up to hassy
