£25,000 doesn't sound a lot really, but I suppose every little helps:D

After all, out of the 600+ of them most need treatment for illusions of grandeur.

In a week when both East Lancashire and Fylde healthcare has been rubbished...the trough eating scum that pass for politicians nowadays get themselves a specialist mental health doctor with a potential maximum patient list of 650 people.

The rest of us plebs are left hanging on the phone for 30 minutes on a Monday morning waiting to make an appointment with an overworked and underfunded Doctor.

Cuts to everything across the board except for politicians, who vote themselves perk after perk after perk....they make me sick!

So politicians are elected to represent us and do the best for us. Wouldnt it be great if in the future technology allows us to vote on individual issues rather than for politicians. So Saturday nights could be "make the laws" night where you actually vote for real stuff rather than gameshows. I bet more people voted in X Factor finals than elections.

hang on according to ATOS who cameron swears by mental illness isnt real or so they seem to think seen as they are forcing people who are mentally ill off benefit and in some cases pushing them to suicide.

so how can they justify this if they back a company that dosnt believe in mental illness ?

I think the general public are more in touch with the country than those we vote for to represent us. Why should we not have a vote on major issues oh I tell you why because we wouldn't need the politicians then !!!

Because the general public always take the simplistic view of everything, if the world were allowed to run itself what a mess we'd be in, you only have to pop round and take a look at the way some people are prepared to live, when some are quite happy to walk round their home with dog crap on the carpets rubbish all over the place dishes piled up in the sink and other delights, and you'd let these people make live changing decisions, sorry Shurm I don't think so;)

The idea being Shurm if they can't be bothered to clean their own home, would you trust anybody to decide on things that effect the fabric of society. The system we have now is far from perfect, but until a better alternative becomes available, I prefer to keep the great unwashed fingers of the steering wheel of the country, thank you :rolleyes:

Yes, well, so who decides which of us makes the grade?

Perhaps we need a housing inspectorate that gets together to decide on our behalf the people allowed to vote, but we must be democratic about it, only the most popular 600 or so people could be voted in except....

....None of us would be able to vote for them until they called around and made sure we are clean and tidy enough to vote them in.

Why do I read Jays threads?

I always end up going around in circles until I get a splitting headache which prevents me from doing housework!

Can I have an untidy house on medical grounds and still be able to vote?

i think each constituancy should put forward their most nutty nut from their local nut house and stick him or her in parliament.The live broadcasting would probabbly be a bit chaotic with all them nutters screaming and waving their hands in the air while doing absolutely sod all to run the country effectivly...

Ahem ... on the topic of "Doesn't seem a lot really", I just read this in "The Guardian":

Now I realize that 1.2 billion quid isn't all that much ... but would it not have been a little, let us say, "saner" to wait until after the sale before counting the money. I realize that your finance minister has been under a lot of stress attempting to come up with one original, workable idea; but this screw up seems to resemble things that happened during the 13 years etc, etc, etc.
