Agree wi shaz, a mate from work did it from viaduct in mid 70s. No real way to stop tragedies like this.:(

How tragic is such an incident, whatever the reason that drove her to it, the family will be feeling a great loss, such a shame whenever it happens.

Yes, plenty of buildings, maybe the car park is the easiest? Just too many victims, how awful that folk are driven to it.

Anybody who does this must be at a very low ebb, another very sad case

So sad that anyone feels this is the only answer.

I do think that some places are too accessible as potential jump spots. Yes the viaduct is always available but the more obstacles you put in the path of a person with suicidal tendencies surely the more time you give them to reconsider nd perhaps change their mind?

What an absolute tragedy for the whole family. My dads sister commited suicide during the 1950's at the age of 23. My dad never really spoke about it when we were growing up, I think it was too painful but it affected all of us. Noone knows what someone else is thinking and if someone is determined , they will always find a way. So sorry for the people left behind.

I used to mate out with a lad when I lived over Hassy, sure Jen would have known him, not long after I move back to Ossy I heard he'd hung himself from the bridge over the motorway near his home, was a really decent bloke, never did find out what went wrong, was a tragedy

Some folk call these people selfish, that to me is them being selfish, just because they would rather call the poor sod for being driven, (inside), to do it, than trying to understand the need they actually felt they had.
Of course it's better if you can recognise a loved ones pain/hurt, but sometimes nobody knows and people go to extreme lengths to prove that they are ill.
I hope anyone's god will forgive them the torment.

some people also call them cowards as well as selfish an din some cases its acurate to do so.

some people choose suicide because they dont want to face terminal illness and pain where as others choose suicide because their girlfriend left them or vice versa

many reasons as to why folk top themselves ,not all of them deserve sympathy
