Sins of the parents?
She's an idiot, a self publicist and a failed apprentice but....snob, moron or does she have a point? Her own kids are called 'India' and 'Poppy', (Poppy I can just about live with, but India kinda negates her right to enter a debate on the name of a child being proportional to the intelligence of the parents)
Holly Willoughby loses her cool with Katie Hopkins in ANOTHER class row on 'This Morning' - YouTube She talks about not letting her kids play with other kids based on their names (Tyler, Kylie, Charmaine etc..), which of course is outrageous because you cannot blame the kids for the names they are given by their parents. Fifi Trixibelle and Peaches (Paula Yates), Brooklyn and Romeo (Posh and Becks), Zowie (David Bowie), River, Summer, Liberty and Rain Joan of Arc Phoenix (hippie parents) But.... in reality do kids named after Harry Potter or Twilight characters behave worse than those with traditional names? And if they do, is this because their parents have stereotypical poor parenting skills because they choose names based on fads, films and TV programs? (Egg&Chips if you're still lurking I'd be interested in a teachers view on this one) |
Re: Sins of the parents?
i find most people named less are irritable, sarcastic, grumpy and have an extraordinary amount of dry witt
would i let my kids hang around with a less ? probbably not as the name is dying out an most less's are too old to be playing out with my kids but i dont mind playing hide the beer in your tummy with them:) |

We have been conditioned to be prejudiced towards some names.
Remember Wayne and Waynetta :D |

God knows how she'd perceive my name then (wrong colour maybe?)

Re: Sins of the parents?
Conceited, so far up herself snotty Mare! Does it really matter what the kids called? As long as they're polite, mannered & well behaved who cares? So their parents may not have been the best at name selection, but as long as they do right by their offspring & teach them right from wrong.
On top of that, if that's her attitude to UK choices, she'd be having kittens about an Ali, Abdul or Mohammed. :D |

Seems like she's the result of bad breeding, she's shown herself up for the stuck up, ignorant troll that she is. She's also put her own children up for ridicule now, the sins of the parents indeed.

Mainly because we haven't been edificated, have no imagination and don't want our kids beaten up in the playground, (even posh kids can be cruel about a name). Yes, I know, my folk named me to honour a friend that died in WW2, unfortunately the chant was always, Leslie is a girls name. It was worse for the girls called Lesley, they got called Les's by the ignorant. |
