Re: Lost Dog
Do you know the owner John?
Have they informed the dog warden, Police, RSPCA etc? If they register the dog as lost here DogLost - Reuniting Lost Dogs With Their Owners they will get a lot of help finding her. They need to print out posters and put them up all over the missing area so others are aware. The last Beagle missing in this area was in Darwen a couple of weeks ago. He was missing for 5 days and 30 minutes before being caught. The worrying thing about this one is she is missing in town with all the traffic. Where on Burnley road did she go missing and do you have a phone number for the owners you can PM me please so I can help look for her? |

The dog belongs to my carer, Michael, I've just this minute contacted him by phone and the rascal has gone home on its own about half and hour ago, he was just about to ring me to let me know, many thanks for your help, I've taken down the details and passed them on to Michael for future reference cheers |
Re: Lost Dog
I like a happy ending.

Re: Lost Dog
Spent a few days the other week looking for a lost one in Darwen. I wont go out looking unless I have spoken with the owner to get all the details, or one of the usual searchers have.

They are. I spent 3 hours walking around Sunnyhurst Woods in Darwen with a lady who came down from Lancaster with her 3 dogs to search. A few months ago we lost one at Entwistle Res (other side of Darwen). Must have been at least 30 Beagle owners turned up to search. A couple came separately from Nottingham. Some turned up from Stoke for a few hours Saturday evening. Many from around Liverpool where the dog was from. At least I know if one of my two does one I will have people helping us find her. No one I met who was searching at Sunnyhurst Woods had ever met the owner until that day. I think we heard about it on twitter until someone got the owner to join the facebook group we use to report lost ones and coordinate searches. |
