Reading the papers today & just watched the Bloated Bullsh'tng Comps News coverage about the carry on over Manky U's "Nazi overtones". I'm sorry but I just don't see it, can anyone else or am I being dense?

offending article & the actual thing, no comparison to me.

I think it does look a little like a swastika, but then again, I used to think the isle of man flag did as well.:D

That's what I thought, more like a jumble of straight lines, some folk out there have odd perspectives as far as comparisons go in my view.

That's the power of symbols to suggest on the mind! ;)

Remember in India the swastika is a sign of exact opposite sentiment to that of the nazi party. It is slightly strange to see them painted on the sides of houses /shops.

Using the words New Order probably helps people to make a mind hop to Nazism.

I know it features prominently in Hinduism & Buddhism & conveys good luck & the sense that "All is well". But recent history depicted it in another light & that is what most people associate it with when they see it.

Again, I don't really think that matters if you can't make out the symbol in the first instance, the words certainly wouldn't sway me either. The only possible connection I see with the wording would be with "New World order", but even then I'm inclined to think of Multi nationals, big business & Dodgy Politicoes. :)

People are going to see what they want to see. Question is, who's the plonker that came up with something which could be misinterpreted.
