Oh Mez you poor thing. If I lost my PC I'd feel like my arm had been cut off.

I've had a surge breaker ever since I got my first PC and strongly recommend everybody gets one because you just never know.

I want a wireless network first.

Then I'll think about a surge protector

Re: p/c.s

It may only take 10 mins if its only the PSU but a surge quite often can take out other components. CPUs and memory are quite sensitive to this sort of stuff.

Sorry to be the bearer of possible bad news Mez. Let me know if I can help.

Ian

Glag you are back Mez.......I would be like a bucketful of wasps if anything happened to my computer......well it did earlier in the year.....got one of those 'trojan' things and it couldn't be removed so I had to get a new operating system......you learn these things the hard way sometimes......I now have a firewall and Norton AND I update regularly....but you never know. I got a surge protector with the PC when I bought it.
