We went to Harwoods(previously the Lidgett pub in Gt. Harwood) last Saturday - it was excellent.

It is opposite the cemetery on Blackburn Road in Great Harwood & well worth a visit

The Whittakers Arms, On Burnley Rd. opposite the cemetery, does a good Carvery on Sunday afternoons.

If you're ever down in Brighton, try Genghis Khans in Middle Street.
They have a big bar in the middle, where you select your meat or fish, then round the other side they have pasta, veg and herbs and spices and then you put the stock on top. Then you take it to the cooking area and they cook it for you. If you don't like your concoction, tip it in the bowl that they provide on your table and go and start again. The bowls are small enough that you can keep going up and trying different things. Very yummy! Which reminds me; I must go back there soon! |
