I don't know if anyone else got a pm, but Richard, Susies's partner, gave me the terrible news that Sue died last night. So sad. RIP Munchkin.

There's not much I can say apart from how sorry I am and my deepest sympathy to Richard and Susie's family.

Very sad to hear this. Susie was kind to me via pm as this year has been bad to me even with what she was going through. What a way to end the year. Condolences to Richard.

How very sad to hear & one less friend to many folks. Our thoughts & condolences go out to Richard, Sue's family & friends.

“It's so much darker when a light goes out than it would have been if it had never shone.”

A fitting quote from John Steinbeck.

Sad sad news ,Sue will truly be missed, her witty forthright and sometimes pithy posts will be missed. She spoke a lot of sense , she will also be sadly missed by her quizzing friends who to be fair were usually in her wake. My thoughts and best wishes are with her family and friends at this sad time. RIP Sue XX

Rob...I second that.
I am sure we would have got on like a house on fire.
Susie was very kind to me through my daughters illness and always found words to cheer me...in spite of what she herself was going through.
She had courage to go on when all her strength was gone.
Night night Sue...I'm going to miss you.

Re: Susie

May I respectfully suggest that the tributes to Susie and the messages of sympathy in this thread are passed to Richard. It will show him, if he didn't already know, just how much Susie was valued at Accrington Web. It won't help ease the pain but it might offer him some comfort.

maxthecollie 01-01-2014 10:00

Re: Susie

Although I never met Sue , she was an Accyweb friend to us all with her contributions and I totally agree that that the tributes to Sue should be passed on to Richard

MargaretR 01-01-2014 10:26

Re: Susie

Her user name appears in the list of visits in the last 24 hours, so Richard is already looking.

Thanks for letting me know Dave - my reaction was identical to yours. I was already missing Sue on the quiz - was hoping she'd be coming back as had always happened in the past after bad spells...

My thoughts are with her beloved Richard - the man with the panama hat...

Re: Susie

Richard emailed me today, he told me Susie had died and would I put newon Accy web.
He said she regarded me as a good friend.
I told him Eric posted the news earlier and there already a lot of tributes to Sue and condolences to Richard.
He will keep us informed about the funeral arrangements in case any body wants to go.
I have been very poorly this last few days, feeling dizzy loss of feeling in my hands but hopefully now I have rung 111 and got to see a doctor I might be well enough to go.
If I do go I will have three seats spare for locals
No charge.
The strange thing was the email from Richard and he was using Susie's account.
It was a shock to see an email from her
.

Russell I guess that he thought you might think it was spam if he e-mailed in his name....this way he knew you would respond.
