Well, MPs have voted by a majority of 211 to seek delay to EU departure, however the extension has to be at the unanimous agreement of all EU states.

Interesting to see the figures on how MP's voted:

For extending Article 50:
Lab: 236
Con: 111
Others: 55

Against:
Con: 187
DUP: 10
Lab: 3
Ind: 1

Did not vote: 28

What point an extension?
The deal was rotten last week, it is rotten this week and will be rotten in two years time.....and hoping for any changes on the EU side are deluded.
There will be no leeway given by these people....they have NOT negotiated anything....and will not negotiate anything.
They have just said this is what is on the table...take it or leave it....and our answer to this should be.....we will leave it...and you can whistle for your 39 billion quid.

best we,ll get is that they,ll re word the thing and put commas in different places. the thing is margaret you and most of us who want out do not like the deal and all those remainers do not like it obviously so therefore it will never get passed.

Well, can only hope that is the case.
Let's get out on the 29 th of March....that is the default position unless they can get an act of Parliament through between now and then to stop it.
I hope members of the EU veto any extension.

If her deal does not gain acceptance then my understanding is that we leave 29th March unless article 50 is revoked or extended.
It would require an act of Parliament to do anything else....and I don't think there is time....not even if the house sits 24 hrs a day til then.

An extension of the deadline would take agreement by ALL current members of the EU.....and Poland has said it will veto any request for an extension....just to prove it is possible to leave the EU.
