If you ask me all racisism in this country has been founded by the government due to all the p.c rubbish which gets everyone's back up.Maybe it's time the voters had more say in how this country is run.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there Janet. What the PC brigade fail to understand is that we can still respect other people's beliefs and traditions even if we don't share them and want to maintain our own. We'd all be far richer from a diversity of beliefs if we didn't keep worrying about who we might be offending because we do things differently to them.

Quite right too missus!!!!!!

But just who are "THE PC BRIGADE" and what is their agenda?

Nameless, faceless, bureaucrats. Or political back-room boys (that's sexist too)?

George Orwell had a great insight into the socialist mind back in the late 30's early 40's, and he knew that persistence and lack of the masses will-power would one day come to fruition.............so here you all are......................CONTROLLED by faceless, nameless....controllers!!!!!!

Depends on which country you vist Jelly, if you go to the United Arab Emirates, Barhain or Oman you would have no problems finding or visting one but if you went to Saudi, Iran or Pakistan or any other Stan you more then likely would find no religious tolerance.

JB &AB, that's the whole point!!

We go to 'Foreign parts' & try to observe & comply with their customs/lifestyle (albeit, mainly on holiday)IE, 'un cervaza' 'dos cafe con leche' etc.

Some people come to this country, whether on holiday, or hoping to reside on a permanent basis, & expect us to cater for their customs & lifestyle IE. 'let's slaughter the animals in our backyard before we eat them' or, 'please make my toilet face the right way' in relation to Mecca.

Who's right?????

Gotta say, Willow, read many of your posts, & agree with so many, I feel I know you (or perhaps should!) Sorry, Busman, I'd like to know you too!!

They have simply changed the law!!!

You may not like this Darby but in my view the moment you decided to leave this country your voting rights should have gone also. I think you have been very lucky that for the last 15 years you where able to vote on the issues of a place you no longer reside in, I for one do not see why ex-pats should have the right to vote.
