Bbc tv

So it's the Olympics time again, just like last time, I have no real interest, that doesn't mean I want to stop others watching it.
I do however find it a little bit irritating that the only company that demands a yearly payment from everyone, the service they cut down by a quarter when they moved their channel three onto the Internet. Is dedicating two thirds of its remaining channels to all day long third rate sport, I'm not attacking the athletes taking part, they have worked hard and are hoping to do well for whichever country they represent, I mean this commercialised nonsense that we are forced to endure once every 4 years, it's getting as bad as the euro vision song contest.

It looked like there was a nasty wrist sprain earlier.

...but I think I'm OK now.

Re: Bbc tv

the bbc have been pushing for an internet licence for years and everything they are doing like moving things to the internet etc is part of teh process of making it happen

they will re submit their case to parliament claiming that because they now show a percentage of shows on the internet we must all pay the BBC an internet license

sounds a bit tinfoil hat but they have already applied for it and been denied by a very short margin because these crooks we elect love passing things like this

they have spent the past 5 years or so beefing up tehir internet presence and the day will come when we have to have a licence for the internet as well as TV which will be added to your internet provider bill so you cant refuse to pay it

I never watch TV on the Internet.
I use the Internet to get away from crap TV shows and sporting stuff (which bores me rigid).
It is time the BBC looked at how it pays its so called celebrities, reined in some of its costs, and looked at alternative funding sources.

I did mention in another thread, the beeb want to have a law that covers every house in the land, all shall pay even if they don't have tv radio or Internet, it will it seems that you should pay for their service no matter whom you are.
I prefer the system used everywhere else in the world, adverts pay, the better service you provide the more they will pay you.
Look at the beeb, every time right from the start they limit broadcasts, beeb 3 they have got rid of onto Internet I've never used it since. Beeb 4 only on from 7 in the evening and full of repeats of their golden years of two channels.
Time they changed their ways, we don't need restriction we need freedom to watch what we want.

i preffer the system where the BBC is forced t fend for its self and cant get advertising because no one wants to do business with a pedophile supporting organization

the only thing that has happened to the bbc over the whole entire cover up of sexual abuse is a big reward from government extending their right to rob us

the tv license (tax) is a farce and if the BBC is as good as it and its mouthpiece the guardian keeps telling us, then it will thrive under a subscription service

time to stop the madness of a tv tax for watching sky or itv, to stop punishing poor people via the courts for not having a license, and for the BBC to join the 21st century and stand on its own 2 feet.

each year the BBC probably wine , dines and bribes as many MPs as they can to secure their taxation regime

no honest person would vote for the BBC to stay the way it is it is an outdated concept and is against everything a free country is about because we should be able to choose if we want to use the BBC not forced to pay for it regardless of if we use it or not

Maybe we need one or maybe two referendums?
Do you want to set the beeb free to fight for its life in the real world of broadcasting?
On the ballot paper a simple yes, no, and let's have subsequent referendums until we all agree with our betters.
