Varsity Opened In Accrington

Re-opened as the Varsity, but a well nourished Captain Birdseye lookalike was insisting on " 2 forms of ID" tonight so I assume they are not serious about making any money.

I will wait until the next owner.

Don't think it will last long with a bad attuned I whot bother going there now

Nothing wrong with trying to make sure he doesn't have underage drinking in his pub. If you are lucky enough to look underage carrying ID in pubs is expected now.

I would love to look young enough to be asked for my ID card instead of my Senior Citizen one…enjoy it while you can.

UPDATE: Sneak peek at new pub opening in Accrington tonight - Accrington Observer

Back in the day pubs had a peg board price list stuck up on the wall somewhere, that only changed on budget day (think that was also the time they changed the meat pies in the glass cabinet)...looking at this photos of this place they have menus on tables giving the price of everything except a bleedin' pint

2 forms of ID is not the norm at all. If rolled out no one would get in a pub.
