Judith Addison (Conservative)

She looks like a very nice lady, putting herself up,

"Caring and campaigning for our community"

Well, She looks the part, her promises are wide range,

1/Keep Hyndburn tidy.
2/Safety first on our roads.
3/Investing in our children.

Then going on to a variety of subjects we are all concerned about.

This is the leaflet put through my door, but I don't know the history of this lady.

Is she truthful? Is she just yet another Conservative?

I am already disappointed with labour,

Is she 'really' going to represent me when put into a position of power?

Oh I doubt it, but Labour had better come up with a miracle or else that is the way my vote could go.

I got a leaflet from a labour candidate and in each photo caption the last sentence was missing. I did email him telling him he should get a new proof reader.
What faith can you have in a candidate who sends out leaflets without checking them first?

What are her views on Brexit?

Do you know? She didn't so much skirt around that topic, in fact I would say it was ignored completely.

Not an auspicious introduction then (to my mind at least).

if it helps she seems quite genuine on hyndburn chat where she resides and gets involved quite a lot

added bonus is she can remember where she is from unlike that labour fella who thinks he is from XXXX

Judith is probably one of the most genuine, honest and strangely non political politicians I've ever met and I've had the misfortune to meet quite a few not so desirable ones. We've had our issues recently but I can honestly say I would vote for her no matter what colour rosette she wore if she was standing in my ward.

Unfortuneately Judith isn't standing in my ward so I have to choose between

Peter Britcliffe - Conservative
Janet Brown - UKIP
Colette McCormack - Labour

Some may remember one of those from the "Silly Cow" comment of a few years ago :D

Neil you have my sympathy. I think I would be drawing something rude on my ballot paper if I lived in that ward.

I can't waste my vote like that, I always vote for someone, I don't believe I can moan about them if I don't :D

If I lived in Hyndburn, Judith would be getting my vote - straight as a dye, feet on the floor

Agree, Neil and Bob. She's a sound lass with a lot of common sense and a genuine concern for her constituents and her area. Couldn't care less what her views are on Brexit or other national issues, I'd vote for her because of what she could do LOCALLY.

I can't vote for someone who goes against my conscious...and in local elections I take absolutely no notice of the banner that they travel under.
I vote for the person who I think will do the best job.
And I feel like I can moan about anyone I like. No one ever takes any notice of me anyway:).

It is a shame every ward does not have a candidate like Judith Addison.
