Seems our old M.P. has died aged 89. was a damn good M.P. for Accrington, many of our older members will remember him, a top bloke. R.I.P.

Arthur Davison was the man responsible for the T&GWU having an New office in Accrington.
It was at the junction of Abbey street and Blackburn road.
I met him a few times when I was a Chairman if the branch.

Lovely man from what I remember he used to visit our house to help my Mother with her case for compensation for my Sister having brain damage from the 3 in 1 vaccination as a baby however the Conservatives got in and scrapped any idea of compensation and Arthur lost his seat as well. R.I.P.

Sorry to hear this news. He was a very good MP for Accrington. My aunt who lived in Huncoat knew him well through her Labour party work.
