Nowhere in the first post did it say it was Sir Alex Ferguson of football fame.

You made the assumption(as many others did) that it was Sir Alex Ferguson the illustrious ex Manager of Man Utd.

So, I think you can kiss goodbye to your ten bob...it is you who should be paying out.

In his initial post he said: "Thank you for all the hard work he has done to make the sport's he has been involved in safer."

Was Fergusson (with two S's) involved with sport? I still want my ten bob!

Yes he was involved in the opposition of the ill-fated Watson bill and the planned ban on Fox Hunting in Scotland.

He did mention sport....but he did not say what sport.
You assumed it was football....you assumed it was the retired manager of Man Utd.
