If you want to live somewhere where you think everyone is equal....maybe you should consider China....except even in communist regimes there is always a group of people who see themselves as the 'elite' and dictate the rules to the lesser mortals beneath them.

Concerning binman - it was pointed out that the Labour Peer Lord Levy pays less tax than the binman who clears the rubbish from his £6 million mansion. Binman isn't doing his job properly though as levy is still there.

that is because the tax laws are to trap the little flies(that's you and me)...the big ones (like Lord Levy) break through.
It was ever thus...and this situation is similar to large multi-national businesses...they have highly apid lawyers to ensure that they pay little tax...so what they are doing is entirely legat.......all governments for decades have known about these loopholes....not one of them have tackled the issue...though they could have.
We don't really need to ask 'why'do we...we know the answer.

or where the loopholes actually written there in the first place. the cynic in me has always thought this.
