No Chat.
What ! no chat for two days ? has everyone come off the wagon just because the pubs, (some of them),have re-opened.:D:D
Your's as ever, the Luddite.:rolleyes::rolleyes: |
Re: No Chat.
No Taddy....pick a subject and we will post to it.
It just seems like it is the same old, same old. As for the pubs...who wants to go into pubs that have only six people in there...or that take your name and address at the door...want to log you onto Track and trace. Going out for a drink should be a spontaneous event...not one that you have to book. I am not se desperate for a beer(or any other alcoholic drink for that matter) that I will be doing any of that any time soon. See, there you go...that has started something! |

Re: No Chat.
there is no chat because most of us are singing from the same hymn sheet and just going round in circles. we need some avid remainers, BLM supporters and a few left wing flotsom and jetsom to post.
|
Re: No Chat.
Probably all either :-
1) In a queue for the barber/hair shop. 2) Looking for bargins in winter vests or similar. 3) Trying to get a good entry for "Today in Pictures" or Having gone out have got lost and are seeking directions home. |

The new shopping rules have made shoppng a chore. I am not so fond of beer that I would book to get a drink. To sit in morbid isolation....surely there can be no ambience in a pub with only six or eight patrons........and I would not dream of taking out even my little compact camera in the wet that we had yesterday....... So it seems that I might just have resigned from the human race...well for the foreseeable future anyway. |
Re: No Chat.
done my back in again last night. still blame all those evil daimler buses that were bought in the 60,s and 70,s. had to go on one knee to feed the dogs this morning.
|
Re: No Chat.
Monkey Hanger, it needs rubbing with a strange hand....but social distancing forbids such a practice.
Anyway, as long as you were only on one knee to feed the dogs and not emulating Lewis Hamilton.....that's alright. On that note, it was good to see 4 F1 drivers making their own choice rather than following the sheep.....baaaa! |

There is only one thing wrong with that chain....but I will let you guess at what it is.
I do not want to be classed as a Karen and have to apologise for my white privileged upbringing(!) |
Re: No Chat.
Is anyone else a bit fed up of hear Preachy Prince Harry acting as mouthpiece for Me-again
Markle. How 'uncomfortable' it is to hear him pontificating her views on what he sees as the transgressions of the Commonwealth. These two left the Royal Family because they wanted to be private, they wanted to forge their own way in the world. So why are they wanting to stand on the world stage and have the spotlight on their views. I am so sick of seeing their miserable faces....why can't they just disappear? |

It is not the done thing to go to another county and rubbish your own history.....after all he might at some stage need to come back here.
He is definitely being manipulated by his scheming power hungry wife. Woke is a joke, but it isn't funny. It is a bit sad that he is showing that he is a bit on the thick side. |

Re: No Chat.
quite some time ago i posted step by step instructions(I felt they were foolproof....)
So Monkey hanger I will do it again...just for you. Under this box there are two options.....1) choose GO ADVANCED. When you do this it will take you to a page where there is a box fot text(what your post is about) under this you will note that there are 4 options. Choose 'Manage attachements'. This will take you to a page that allows you to browse and attach pictures from your computer. Click on the 'Browse' and select the picture you wish to upload. (You can upload the maximum of ten pictures per day) atthe lower Right hand corner of this box you will see a button which says 'upload' Click on this and your picture should upload. However if your picture is too large...then it may need to be reduced in size in an editing program. Can I ask...? Can you e-mail pictures? If you can and are happy to send them to me I would upload them for you.(iet me know and I will PM my e-mail address) But please try my instructions out first. I think that taddy and you, both need to come to my finishing school |
Re: No Chat.
cheers. i,ll give it a go in some quiet moment later today. knowing me i seem to get so far with stuff then i miss something out and its back to square one. when i was younger i must have done every job imaginable on cars but like my son who is a mechanic on the buses we both have trouble fitting new wiper blades. its really a funny old world when you get mental blockages on certain things.

As to attending your finishing school, I am still at the primary school stage as regards getting the hang of this Bill Gates's infernal machine but issue me with a big hammer and a screwdriver and I will build you a palace. Your's, The Luddite. |

Try Charles Babbage (1791-1871) he started it all off with his difference engine he was assisted by Augusta Ada King, Countess of Lovelace (1815-1852) she was reputed to being the very first software programmer. So history frees Mr. Gates of the real blame 'cos there's nowt new under the sun!'. |
Re: No Chat.

But surely it did not take that much finding. It is not hard to post pictures...once you get the hang of it....and the only time it will fail is if the size of the picture you are posting is too large. The site reduces the size of pictures so that they will load, but sometimes the picture is still too big and has to be reduced in photo editing software.....and most computers have basic editing stuff or you can download free software... |
Re: No Chat.
Taddy we all start off in primary school with computers, but if we are curious, we learn as we go along.
Who do you think taught me this stuff? No-one....I learned by trying things out....flying by the seat of my britches....but I did get help from folk on here too. Len helped me....and so did the late, great Mick. But you have to want to learn stuff. |

No Taddy, not chastised, just informed in a respectful way.

Not sure about "Colonial", but I've heard it referred to as "Dry", which I find rather strange as I've not heard of an opposite form as in "Wet"! More often than not it's classed as being a smartarse or sarky! ;) :D And while I think on, which one of you lot has been playing with matches over Ossy way? https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/13...rs-smoke-video |
Re: No Chat.
Not me....my mother doesn't allow me to play with matches.
