Have other folk on Accy Web had the what I think is called a pop up that appears every time they log in saying Quote, " you have an unread message, you are eligable for a gift of up to £1000. With me being a computer Luddite I think it could be what is known as a scam to the computer literates; If so how do I stop it appearing?

It is a scam, the only way I have got rid of it in the past is to delete the stuff in my history (or empty the Cache).....I am aware that you are a Luddite and might struggle to empty your cache...so google how to do it Taddy.
I would explain it but I am not sure if you would be able to follow my instructions.

i used to clear my cache in firefox but cannot find how to do it in the browser i use now:( i looked it up online but cannot figure it out

Cashy...I can see that both you AND Taddy need to come to my school for a couple of lessons( :) ) but only in computer stuff.
Have a look on YouTube...it is easier to follow something when you have seen it done.

on top of that i have had more stupid emails than normal. won this that and another from shops we never use plus all that bitcoin rubbish. i just deleat the lot without ever reading them. wonder how many do not and get scammed.

My e-mail program recognises this crap and sends it straight to spam...and it empties every week....so I rarely see this stuff.
I also have an ad-blocker so annoying pop ups do not get through....or very rarely anyway.

its actually worth just reading the headlines of this crap without opening them up just for a laugh to think how others may be taken in by it all.
