Does anyone know of any childcare facilities like b4 & after school for school age children attending fern gore area schools? Must be registered!

TIA

Have you asked the local authority?

We contacted either our Borough or County Council, and they provided us with a list of registered childcare facilities.

I don't know if your local authority does the same, but it's probably worth a try

Cheers Vorlon, already tried that but my kids school seem to be outa mongolia or may as well be nothing in the area which seems rather pathetic otherwise its drastic action of switching their schools which ideally i dont want to do just for sake of childcare issues.

Think First Class Nursery (Cannon Street) and also Victoria Nursery (Heywood Road) both Accrington, do before and after school clubs. Which if they did then they should drop off and pick up from school. Good luck in finding a placement somewhere. Surprised the childrens school doesn't already do a before and after school club. Have you asked the head are they likely to be introducing one soon?

Ah well i can forget my kids school the head isnt very accommodating - even being a bit late n they dont have any facilities other than the standard school times, looks as tho springhill is the only option so far n is quite a treak as ive no transport myself, tried 1st class they dont pick up from my particular school n definately no breakfast club so looks as im a bit buggered - so much for parents able to return to work eh?

Take it to the local press - someone might do something about it then

Why don't you try writing to the Prime Minister, reminding him of his election promises and how they are not having the desired impact and how the Labour Party will loose your vote in the coming election because of it. It probably will not produce any effect, but it will make you feel better having gotten it of your chest and also it will spoil his morning. The only thing that politicians hate, more than other politicians, is "we, the people" threatening not to vote for them.
