Community Wardens
 

Well the axe has now fallen on the Community Wardens,half their number have received termination of employment notices.
As ever Christmas time was the chosen announcement date....
I am sure the Hyndburn community will suffer as a result of this underfunding,the eyes and ears of law enforcement have now been reduced to a token force.How will this effect the reporting of criminal activities?
Well we will have to see.

Did'nt really see the wardens in our area that much but on the odd occasion that I did they were always very nice, stopping and talking to the kids and everything so I am sure that they were doing a worthwhile job.

The community wardens in Accrington did a calendar with themselves posing in a "pin up" fashion if ya follow me...

The Labour party have pledged to reinstate the Community wardens if they come in to power in May.

This is the real deal - we've seen how well they work and how important to the town. The Labour party will without doubt bring them back and keep them.

The diference between having them and not having them should meen they come back regardless. How long after Labour gain power would the wait be for their reintoduction?

does your labour party actually do things then, cos ours kept getting voted back in and did sod all but block things unless they'd thought of it.
