Net Stupid….
Is the worm (as the British public seem to be regarded by our elites) finally turning…?

Re: Net Stupid….
Let’s see where it goes……there are still a lot of brainwashed people out there Exile.
Yet none of those Extinction Rebellion characters are over in the Ukraine complaining another the black smoke from the bombs……where are they hiding? Obviously not keen on demonstrating where there are no dancing policemen to entertain them. |

Re: Net Stupid….
Well, it is a start…..what is betting Starmer and his crew oppose it on grounds that we need to save the planet(or am I needing to get stronger anti cynicism pills?).
Does he not see that Putin is getting very close to making this nonsense irrelevant? No point saving something that is engulfed in a nuclear winter. But…..I DO hope some sense gets through! |

Re: Net Stupid….
It seems like Boris has squashed the idea of abandoning plans for net zero emissions…..so no
real surprise there then…..wouldn’t want St Thunberg to fall out with him |
Re: Net Stupid….
if he goes net zero he is defo under the thumb!
|
Re: Net Stupid….
Net zero is what we will all have in our wallets if the WEF achieves its aims.
|
Re: Net Stupid….
If we get to net zero and all countries in the world are and it makes sod all difference to the climate what will they do then. You would think the earth is only a few hundred years old instead of billions of years old where the climate has changed numerous times over this period. What and who did the greenies blame for that. Do think what we are paying for is just an experiment but we have no option.

Re: Net Stupid….
should never wish for the big sleep but can understand the sentiments. a life controlled by the wokeararty, geenies and vegans does not sound a good prospect. us suckers will never get an even break unless you join em and that will not happen until hell has a climate change itself.

Re: Net Stupid….
No MH….I am not wishing for it, but I am realistic enough to know that at 75 I am running out of road.
There is not much future left on the roll…regardless of what happens with the fisticuffs that is going on in Europe. |
Re: Net Stupid….
The B*llsh*t Broadcasting Corruption’s Roger Harrabin is retiring, no doubt they’ll give his job to a teenage disciple of St.Greta, not that that would change the green blob bias.
However, interesting article today about the level of distortion, some might say disinformation, put out by Harrabin over fracking. https://www.spiked-online.com/2022/0...bout-fracking/ Interesting that it claims some in the Govt know what the BBC were doing, but no one is willing to challenge them. I wonder if that’s because, if a govt started calling out the BBC for spreading its own agenda, where would it end! |
Re: Net Stupid….
This is an interesting web site. It clicks the daily energy generated by various means.
https://gridwatch.co.uk/demand Nice sunny day across the whole country today, light breezes, so must be a great day for solar and wind? Nope, just 10% from those two “green” sources. But half of the country’s energy demand still satisfied by gas. |
Re: Net Stupid….
Net hypocrisy, yet again from the UK government.
Isn’t it great we’re weaning ourselves off British coal. Russian coal, transported by diesel powered ships to reach our shores, is just so much more green. https://order-order.com/2022/03/31/u...-last-2-years/ |
Re: Net Stupid….

I believe we had something like 400 years worth of reserves of coal left when Thatcher took her revenge on the miners and closed the pits, wasting the North sea oil revenues to do it! If we gave up the green pretence we could, with open cast, revitalise our coal industry and remove any need for imports, with better quality coal. |
Re: Net Stupid….
doubt even a greenie from their standpoint can agree with importation of coal. far better creating jobs in this country for our workers than giving a helping hand to others especially russia by its rulers recent actions.

Not going to happen mate, they want us in sackcloth shreddies, living in an "Eco" mud hut/yurt, your transport to be the family Donkey (all sharing the same helpings of thistles & carrots for sustenance) & all heating & cooking to be done by using dried out cowpats! |

Re: Net Stupid….
Many years ago we went for a day in Bangor (cue the song it was a hit around that time)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfwQi8L9h8M While we were there my missus went to a corner shop for something, there were a few Welsh 'ladies' already there when she went in they were talking English but, to make her feel welcome they changed to welsh. Now, my ex comes from southern Ireland where they speak Gaelic and it seems is very similar to welsh so these ladies were quite surprised when she told them quite fluently what they could do with the groceries in this shop and that she would go elsewhere for her shopping. And in case your wondering no we didn't have a wonderful time so stop playing that damned song! |

Another massive contribution to our energy supply today from all those windmills. Err, 4% of the demand.
So when Carrie and her pals at Extinction Rebellion get their way, we’d be now sitting in the dark. https://gridwatch.co.uk/demand |
Re: Net Stupid….
I hate those bl**dy useless things and I have said all along that they are inefficient ugly monstrosities.
We are an island we have two tides a day…think of the safe energy that could provide…..no need for risky nuclear. Yes, I know that tidal generation of energy might be problematic….but surely we have the boffins who could address the issues. |
Re: Net Stupid….
To me EXTINCTION REBELLION are no alls that know nowt just big headed rich gets. if they thought they were wrong they would NEVER admit it.

Interesting, and relatively brief, take on our current ‘global crises’.
They aren’t ending any time soon. As the man said, follow the money… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwvGlF9_fpw Edit: this is interesting, my preview post shows the link to YouTube but when I post it….nothing? Will try again. |
