Council Slaves

This is from tonights telegraph:

http://www.thisislancashire.co.uk/la.../NEWSACC0.html

There's already a rumour that Acrylic-Bob has paid for Britcliffe to come and clean his toilet.

Re: Council Slaves

He'll probably shove his head down the toilet and flush it...

Re: Council Slaves

Lots include Deputy Mayor Coun Win Frankland, who has agreed to walk the highest bidder's dogs,

Doesn't it make you wish you had an alsation with rabies!

Re: Council Slaves

Slave Britcliffe? Hmmm, I don't think that I could find a coin small enough. Acrylic-Biff has offered to give up his beef-strip treats for a year if I refrain from bidding on Winnie Frankland. (and has threatened to leave home if I do)

Thinking about though, we could have a whip round and bid for the lot. At least that way we would be sure that they ran the borough properly, if only for one day!

Re: Council Slaves

I wonder if they'll accept Accy web Ackers..... I'm dying to let my tearaway terrier take Win Frankland for a walk. :D

Re: Council Slaves

Isn't it time they concentrated on what they are supposed to be doing..... that is looking after the interests of Hyndburn instead of this cheap publicity stunt??????

Re: Council Slaves

Today there is a picture in the Observer of Peter Britcliffe grinning like a loon doing some washing up......I'd be grinning like a loon if i was being paid what he is being paid and making such a dogs breakfast of things.

Re: Council Slaves

I would say he was an Ar*e, but at least there is some use in an ar*e!

Re: Council Slaves

Think I must be missing something here, below is the link posted above by tealeaf
when opened it reads "Family pay tribute to stab victim" which is sad.

http://www.thisislancashire.co.uk/l...s/NEWSACC0.html

Wot's that got to do with Hyndburn Councillors and all these posts
Could someone "enlighten" me please

Acrylic-bob 14-01-2005 15:57

Re: Council Slaves

It is a sad reflection that doing someone's washing up is probably the only useful thing that he has done since he was first elected.

Re: Council Slaves

Having been on to "The Observer " web site should this not have been the link

http://www.accringtonobserver.co.uk/..._id=11944.html

I think it is more in keeping with the comments on this topics

Re: Council Slaves

It did work when the link was first posted. I suppose the Telegraph moved the story.

Re: Council Slaves

Yeah, it's updated daily and that link is only to the Accrington bit. By the way, Accy gets a mention in the Guardian and the Independant today with the news that EDS is going to trial a joint management scheme with the CSA office in Accy. (I did'nt even know there was one in Accy).....quite controversial, given that the Inland Revenue gave them the boot from managing their IT systems.

They're probably going to "Joint Manage" it with those clowns who did the HyndburnLite site!!!!
