about amonth ago i herd that one of those lazer places waz going to be put in the bowlin alley u know when u go round shooting people duz any1 know about it

I haven't heard anything either. It would be good if they did then i wouldn't have to play airsoft and get shot with bb guns all day.

How is it that games of today mostly seem to feature death and destruction? Examples are Lazerquest, Paintball and of course, most of the new computer games for kids!....and yet, society has over the past two decades, made it unacceptable for children to play "cowboys and Indians" "British Bulldog" or any of the old "War games" Even the action man dolls are frowned upon.

Maybe it is a reaction from our children as they grow into adulthood because they have missed out on "reality" games as kids? :confused:

Its not true for everyone. I think paintball really is about teamwork and having fun. Ok it might hurt when you get hit but people know the risks : )

I understand what you are saying black_flights, I have no objections at all to these activities, I just find it ironic that these "shooting games" and activities exist at a time when long-standing playground games have been virtually exterminated by the PC mob because they were deemed to promote violence.

There used to be a paintball company in operation in the grounds of the Dunkenhalgh Hotel. Excellent it was too.; just ask Royski & Wingy!:D

I don't know if it is still running though. :confused:

Banning those kids games is silly. We played Cowboys and Indians for years. Suddenly even conkers are banned, and yoyos! It's madness.

Paintball looks like fun. I saw some up at Warton a couple of years ago but it doesn't half take a lot of washing out. We saw the organisers with the outfits at the lauderette in Carnforth.

According to the advertisement for staff in the Observer the location for lazer-quest is in Sandbrook Retail Park, Rochdale.

Not quite paintball, but a lot more fun, Airsoft, our local site is called "Elite Firezone"
