The Queen Is Dead!!!! Long alive King Charles!

Well, I thought she was a woman that would outlive me, sadly gone.
Well Charlie it’s your turn now, good luck to you, let’s see if you can last the same sort of time.

Since watching her Coronation when I was quite young Queen Elizabeth II always seemed to be a person of great stability at the centre of our nation. May she Rest in Peace.

RIP Queen Elizabeth II, bit a of a shock as well, I'd heard that she was being monitored by her doctors this afternoon.

Dedicated to service and duty right to the end. Such a sad loss. May she rest in a well-earned peace.

What a Great Lady.
Here in the USA they showed photos of her with Eisenhower, Kennedy, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, W. Bush, Obama, Trump and Biden.
She was more than a match for every one of them.
It has been an honor to witness her make history.
We will never see her like again.

A great loss to the nation, she was the face of Great Britain to the rest of the world & as such will be sorely missed. Her passing yesterday was the end of an era, a definition of our land which we are not likely to see again.

A bit of a let down, I thought by now there’d have been hundreds of pubs announcing a name change to ‘King Charles III’ or ‘Charlie’s Inn’ perhaps they’re all too busy closing to bother?:)

After seeing her on T.V. shaking hands with the new P.M. on Tuesday, it was a great shock hearing the news on Friday that she had passed away.

So the era of Elisabeth II is finally over as she is finally laid to rest & a new Moarch steps forth Chalie III, I don't think he'll have the adoration or the love of the people anywhere near as much as his mum, in fact I think the monarchy will slowly be wound down over the following years.

I think that is what republicans hope for.
I think Charles will do as promised and slim down the working Royals.

But…..although he will never measure up to Elizabeth ll…I think the population are willing to give him a go.
I am not a fan of his….and the thought of Camilla being called ‘Queen’ (because of course lazy broadcasters will drop the ‘consort’ bit) does not sit well with me.
