Is nothing happening in the world right now?
 

I am prompted to ask if there is nothing happening in the world today?
Something that does not involve Hazbeen and Me-again.
Are there no wars? Are there no industrial disputes?
Are there no MP’s who are up to no good? No murders, beating, hanging???

My heart is bleeding purple pee for these two poor souls.
How they have been used and abused(well, according to them).

Tell me….please tell me.
Have they got a roof over their head?
Have they got food to eat?
Have they got warm beds?
Are they being deprived of the essentials of life?
Are bombs raining on them?
Are they being hounded from their homes?
Are they worried about paying fuel bills

No, none of those things.
They have a privileged life.
They do not work but yet they feel the need to bleat about their victimhood.
I am sick of seeing this pair….who left the Royal family because they wanted a private life.

What is it about private that they cannot get to grips with?

Well he might not be the dimmest man in the world, but he had better hope the dimmest man doesn’t die!

I do not get why he thinks it is ok to insult the whole of the population of the UK.
Especially as he is the biggest hypocrite walking…except he doesn’t walk…he flies by private jet while lecturing us on our carbon footprint.

Usually when i wake up in the morning I make myself a cup of coffee and watch the news. This morning important events and real happenings had been put to one side and it was all about the Netflix ‘him and her’ charade, pantomime, circus, call it what you will. I was hoping that nobody would have watched it and it would have been a complete flop but it looked like people had. I don’t have Netflix and even if I had I wouldn’t have wasted time watching it. Consequently I muted the TV. They complain about media attention they receive, well If they don’t want attention why do they keep putting themselves out there, it is time there were put to one side and forgotten.

The it’s-all-about-me woman was living in a make-believe world when she decided she would like to be a princess. Along comes Harry who was soon smitten by her charms. Unfortunately she quickly found out that she wasn’t going to be the star of the show, the stars were already well established. So she spit the dummy, went back home, and the hapless one followed like a puppy dog. What makes them think they are so important that the rest of us really care. I certainly don’t…..

….and, Margaret, I agree with everything you say – they have no idea what the real world is about, their biggest worry is how to spend their millions and how to make more. As you so much rightly said, they do not have to worry about having a roof over their heads, food in their bellies, how to pay their bIlls, and so on.

And still the circus rolls on….the media are tripping over themselves to cover this couple and their self righteous indignation.

This is the couple who departed the RF because they wanted ‘private lives’.
Lives that were not invaded by cameras and the media, yet they seem to either have a pet camera person at their beck and call to record intensely private moments.
Hazbeen kissing his new baby daughter….the two of them in displays of affection that should be private…..and why, if they wanted their lives to be private, if they were shy of camera’s??

Well, of course it has to be for money.

The mainstream media hasn’t reflected the man on the street for donkeys years..almost nobody buys or has a paper delivered anymore, paper shops have all but disappeared…the internet posts current events almost instantaneously….traditional media is on constant catch up and needs to rely on scandal, tittle tattle and ‘he said, she said’ stories to attract advertisers, and is read, commented and endlessly repeated on twitter by the mindless minority.

Unfortunately in these days of reality TV giving recognition to people who have the intelligence of a peapod it was bound to be watched…by the rubber neckers who use their phones to record instead of intervening, those who vote on the jungle thing, Simon Cowells nonsense or celebrity choreography

I have Netflix, I haven’t and have no intention of watching I have shedloads of more interesting and escapist mind numbing stuff to watch.

But my point is that all this garbage about the two nut jobs over the pond is being reported as news.
It is not news it is gossip…and one sided gossip at that.I get that newspapers trade on this tripe…and they want to sell papers.
You are right about it playing to the rubber nickers, to the reality show watchers.
A couple of rancid hypocrites…one of them who by birth belongs to the RF is contemptible…but the media hang onto every word as if it is gospel. All of it is damaging to the reputation of the country….but maybe that doesn’t matter anymore.
Does no one realise that this woman is acting out her own drama?
Citing mental health issues and suicidal thoughts is akin to calling someone racist….you dare not argue against it….well, almost.

I think this fits in this thread, was looking through Freeview's schedule the other day, and their description of BBC2's news was right on the button, contains news and some factual events.
