no smoking in the arndale
this dosnt realy apply to me anymore becuase i gave up smoking but does anyone else see the ban on smoking in the arndale pointless as people are smoking in the open air cafe where the clock used to be
the way i got it figured is that i can sit down with a cigrette but cant walk around with it cigrette smoke must be less harmfull to others when the smoker has a cup of coffee in their hands lol |
Re: no smoking in the arndale
I think most of the large shopping centre's are now "No Smoking", and some do have cafe's where you are allowed to smoke. The Trafford Centre being one that springs to mind.
Most airports are the same. |
Re: no smoking in the arndale
well as there are no doors on the arndale, i suppose you are still outside until you enter a shop?

Re: no smoking in the arndale
There aren't any doors on the cafe either but that doesn't stop them classing it as a separate entity.
Strictly speaking you are not "outside" once you step over the threshold of the Arndale centre. They can impose thier own rules because it is private property. You may notice that taking photographs in there is forbidden. |

Re: no smoking in the arndale
Yeh i find that rather ironic altho like willow said this is a regular occurance in most Arndales, luckily accy is small enough not to bother my nic boosters lol. Altho i really miss the clock in Arndale i used to rely on it for time now i have to use a watch or ask ppl tho i dont miss the hourly hideous performance ....dfc:eek:
