As far as the packaging goes the make is Homebase and the brand name is Homebase! It was part of a set of things which when used together create a waterproof seal around the bath (ie between bath and wall). There are right angled strips, corner pieces to join them together, end bungs to bung on the ends and the black gunge in a strip (like thick double sided squishy rolls of black blue tack) to stick the whole think together and to wall and bath.

Don't worry, Busman is currently using his initiative and it's a lot more readily available than Homebase's discontinued lines. :)

How is the bath seal doing Willow?
Is it still there or did it go black and horrible?

The silicon bits went black and horrible! The other thingy which I wanted to do it all in is still good. If they'd had the proper bits I wanted then it would all be still good. I hate the mildewy blackness you get on the silicon sealant.

So it sounds like a money loser for the Homebase silicon sealant department. No wonder they stopped selling it :D

It doesn't make me want to replace what we have got with silicon sealant though - do people redo their manky mildewy stuff on a regular basis? It's a big enough pain doing it in the first place. We've got some up the corner on top of where the grout isn't and that's all gone yucky too. Nasty stuff.

Willow, if you go to James Hargreaves on electricity street (next to asda) tell them I sent you (bit of discount) and ask for 'forever white' silicone, they do white or transparent, and it doesnt suffer mildew. If that is a problem for you, let me know and I will obtain some for you, also, if the beading has to come off to reseal it, I have some stuff that will stick and hold it while the silicone cures.
