what a waste of time SCOPE is
 
I rang scope last week and arranged for them to collect 3 binliners full of practicaly new baby clothes , baby walker , feeding chair and assorted board games and stuff

not only have they not turned up yet and its now 1.30pm but when my mrs rang up to see what was happing using their website as a source for a number she got he head bit off by the people at blackburn because they were fed up of people ringing them saying do they have the number for the accrington office

simple solution would be to correct their website :mad:

Another solution would be to donate them to someone who really wants it

I suppose if they couldn't get to you they should have taken your number so they could ring you up and let you know.

It is a volunteer based organisation though and it may just be that there's no-one there with a car right now for some reason. Perhaps they were anticipating a car driver being in today and they may be ill or something.

I would give them the benefit of the doubt until you find out what's happened. Are you not able to transport the things there yourself?

As for the head biting off well there's no need for that. The onus is on them really to make the number accessible. Perhaps it might dawn on them to add the Accy number to the website to save them more hassle. Is the number in the phone book?

im in accy each morning at around 8.00 am. i will collect them if you wish and take them to age concern in rishton? let me know.

yep that would seem to be the most sensible thing to put the phone number on the website

it seems they lost contact with their driver who must have thought he had done enough that day and switched his phone off

i was more annoyed at waiting in all day and been told hes on his way when infact he wasnt

anyway i will see what happens tomorrow and thanks removal man for the offer i will let you know if scope dont turn up

if you have still got the baby stuff ill have them icould do with them please let me know

He may have been in an area where there was no reception for his mobile network. Here where I live the only one which works on a reliable regular basis is 02. Busman has had vodaphone and orange both of which either break up or totally cease to function here.
