Central Billiards Hall
 
Does anyone have a photo of what i beleive was the central billiards hall if i remember the name correctly it was located under the kings hall cinema i remember it in the50s when i was a lad,i used to try to see inside it had a great fascination for a small boy,i lived just around the corner on the small block at bottom of burnley rd.when was it closed i dont remember,the brain fails with age.cashman

Hi cashman. Looks like you had a penchant for snooker and billiards same as I had. The only pic I have of the place is in my head. It was certainly inder the 'bug hut'. They called it 'Walter Lindrums' as well. There were at least 10 full size snooker tables in there. I only played in there about four or five times. I preferred the Elite.

never remembered it as walter lindrums, but what i remember of the bug hut a guy called owd Henry used to always sit on the front row and duck when the bullets were flying-he lived up the raggie back in readers rag shop/slept on a pile of rags.charactors-accy had loads alas long gone.cashman
