The local Government Minister has said that council tax increases should be under 5% for the coming year. When it is all added together it is. But HBC have put their share of the pie up by 8.2%. Which, to be fair, is not as bad as it could have been.

Thats true, but look at all the additional income they will get if this goes ahead

So where have they managed to find all this money from so that they are not going to be as much in debt as they originally told us?

It reminds me of a joke:

Dad finds a note on his son's bed which reads:

Dear Mum and Dad,
by the time you read this I will have moved in with LilacBlossom. We are so very much in love. She doesn't mind the age difference and she is really looking forward to the birth of our baby. In fact she says she'd love to have more and wants to get on with it as soon as possible because she could hit the change any time now. She has really done wonders with the caravan and there's plenty of room for the three of us. It's great that its parked down by the river because that solves the water and sanitation problems. Lilac says as soon as I'm old enough to get a job we can claim more benefits but meanwhile we've got a great source of income with her garden. The canabis plants are coming on a treat and we've got loads of customers lined up. The ones who can't pay us in cash are going to trade for LSD or extasy so we can go into the big time. Lilac thinks of everything. She really is a gem.
