Re: elderly woman burgled in hospital area
Cont.d due to error........ mother in laws wheelie bin that set fire to the shared fence and then next doors upvc porch which was destroyed. The fire was just starting to get the roof of next doors bungalow when the fire service arrived. He was in bed it was about 2am and he could very easily have been killed. The incident has left both these old people scarred mentally and frightened even in their own homes. If anyone does catch them and punish them, they too would be in trouble, and some human rights do gooder would claim the kids lollipops were taken off them at a young age !!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: elderly woman burgled in hospital area
if these theives get caught ime pretty sure the courts will take pitty on them and not take into concideration the woman sat alone in her house in fear
in cases like this i realy do support vigilantism if the courts cant hand out appropiate punishment then i dont see any harm someone taking the law into their own hands |

Re: elderly woman burgled in hospital area
I'm with you totally but i'm afraid I would lose my temper and take things too far when these urban terrorists attack the aged and infirm.

exactly, slinky thats my point, i would never have got him, but i love him to bits now.

Re: elderly woman burgled in hospital area
Agree totally - anyone remember when we used to sleep with our front doors unlocked? They were never locked during the day if you were in the house. Now I am told that I should take a taxi if going somewhere posh, as my jewellery might be too much of a temptation for some poor mugger or drug addict! - No joke, a woman I know had her Rolex stolen, wrist badly bruised, a bit knocked about - guess what? It was her fault for wearing it! What is she supposed to do, keep it in a drawer and ask a policeman for the time? And no, she's not superrich, she saved up for it.

Re: elderly woman burgled in hospital area
I disturbed a young man breaking into my car on a saturday afternoon in accrington town centre. He had broken the passenger dor window and was leaning through having a go at the radio casette as I was returning to the car, the alarm was screaming and all in the area ignoring him . I ran to get hold of him but he saw me and ran. I rang 999 on my mobile and set off after him giging a running comentary to the police as to our whereabouts. He was younger and fitter than me and I lost him at th rear of accy garages. THE POLICE NEVER CAME. They rang me at home 2 hours later to tell me they could not find the culprit. These kids know that the police are not going to be bothered what they do and are taking total advantage of an intolerable situation.

Re: elderly woman burgled in hospital area
What's changed is that it's all down to drugs. The little scum buckets just see easy pickings in stealing, and thus terrifying the people they target. lt's just away to get their next fix, they have not a moral in them.
Like Pendy mentioned there are no safe areas anymore, if you can't be near them, they'll travel to be near you. The future looks bleak. |
Re: elderly woman burgled in hospital area
i might be all on my own here but i believe in corporal punishment and hanging .and at the very least these young thugs should be named and shamed ,put them in the stocks in the middle of town and let the townfolk loose ,that would soonsort out the bullies ,(oops i will get off my soapbox now )

Police couldn't give a monkeys anymore and like what was said earlier, no wonder the kids aint scared anymore of the police, because they have sussed onto the ''oh can't be bothered with the paper work'' attitude. It makes me sick, then someone gets killed and the police are appealing for joe public to get invovled and help with their job, but I wonder if we gave these thugs a good kicking if the police would then say ''eh cheers mate for helping with our job''. |
Re: elderly woman burgled in hospital area
They would probably look on it as an easy cop and arrest you too

Re: elderly woman burgled in hospital area
As someone who visits the elderly and disabled I know only to well how these scum target them, they are simply an easy victim, they won't put up much of a fight,if they report a theft etc most are unable to give propper discriptions and the criminals know that,I could tell you loads of horror stories of people being conned, robbed and frightend to death, all we can do is watchout for them and remember that one day we will be frail ourselves,I believe what comes round goes around, and they will get theirs!

Re: elderly woman burgled in hospital area
I have been told that all the paper work involved in actually arresting a shoplifter makes it such a chore that your best bet is just take the stuff back of them and ask them to leave! Most only get a telling off at the Police station and then come back out to have another go!

Re: elderly woman burgled in hospital area
Cut off their hands.
That would stop a lot of them from doing it in the first place, and they certainly wouldn't do it again |
Re: elderly woman burgled in hospital area
But then they would be classed as disabled and would be pleased that the taxpayer would be contributing to keeping them, and their habbits for the ret of their lives, and lets face it they would probably turn to drugs because of what those cruel members of society did to them.

Re: elderly woman burgled in hospital area
TATTOO NICKING B''''''D on there head!! then they are not classed as disabled but everyone knows who they are;)

Re: elderly woman burgled in hospital area
I really feel for the elderly and the sad fact is it will probably only get worse. I'm sure we were never as bad when we were youths, yes we gave the odd bit of back chat but wouldn't go too far because if they'd have knocked on our front door to repoprt our cheek to our Mum she would have hit the roof!!!
|
Re: elderly woman burgled in hospital area
And thats not the only thing she would hit.

Reason for disability: thieving b*st**d. People just don't seem to realise that there must be a consequence for their actions. As Willow has said elsewhere, since when can prison be an effective consequence when all they do when inside is study for a degree, watch tv, get fed and all the other luxuries available, all for free! With all that in mind, some people probably commit the crimes to be put inside |
