My nephew has just been to see me, he was walking along Blackburn Road and has been attacked by 12 Asians. Last week a lad was beaten up at the back of the Miners Arms by 10 Asians.

Oh that is sad soz to hear Bob, bloody thing with race card is that it doesn't apply to us hope police are gonna do something about it if your nephew has reported it....bloody thugs!

He's only 16, they have made a mess of him.

I know 2 Timmins families from Harwood, i used to taxi drive there.

sorry to hear this and unfortunatly even if caught the thugs will not get prosecuted as it will be the word of 10 asians against 1 white guy

every now and then there are periods where the asians down that area atart attacking whites and unfortunatly they never get caught they just stop for a while and carry on

there has been many cases of asians spitting at white girls as well calling them white trash , slags etc but nothing gets done and it never seems to hit the papers

i wonder why

its probably the same morons that drive around in the black hatch back with a sheet in the back that says kill all whites every now and then

it seems acceptable behaviour for 10 blacks to beat up a white person but god help a white person that fights back they would end up in more trouble for defending themselves

these morons know they can play the race card i say the law should be the law regardless of coulour or race but sadly this is rarely the case and these morons ruin it for those that just want to get on with their lives and attracts bad feelings towards their comunitys when nothing is done

i hope your nephew recovers fast and dont forget

go get him to a solicitor my brother got 2 grand for getting beaten up and they never caught the people who did it

take photos of injuries both as soon as possible and a day later as some injuries look worse after a day

may as well get some cash satisfaction as its unlikely the asians will face punishment

Just to let you know that the police are involved and my nephew knows one of them because he went to the same school. My nephew is a Accywebber but i won't say his name.

A kind driver from Hyndburn taxis picked him up from the side of the road and took him to the hospital he's got stiches over his eye and a lot of bruising

sad thing that is Chav i know of an incident at my ole house where asian guy just started on my neighbour then threatened to call his family to kick crap outta him n cos he didnt want to hit him cos of race card told him instead he'll report it to the police - the police came n told my neighbour 'not to be anti racist n keep away from said asian' despite us all telling the cops true story they said its so delicate so the race card is so tricky when it comes other way round instead let em off.

Having been the victim of an assault myself (not racial I add though) I know how distressing it can be. I hope your nephew recovers and is ok.

hi im bobthedj sister in law it was my son who was beaten up the police have just been and said unless there is enough evidence they cant do any thing as usual,if there is any one who seen what went on please contact accy police station. thanks

According to the Race Relations Board, it is impossible for someone with a dark skin to be racist. Can we get some of them to walk unaccompanied along Blackburn Road, do you think?

Good advice about the CAB - even if the police do nothing, you can also bring a private prosecution for assault. The poor lad could try suing the one he knows for damages. The level of proof required in the civil court is much less than that in the criminal court.

You can't altogether blame the police, mind you, they do all the work, pass the file to the Crown Prosecution Service, who then decline to proceed ... therefore the police feel they are flogging a dead horse too.

Hi Ged, sorry to hear about your son. I've had it happen to my son (he had his nose broken), and we involved the police. We got a lot of support and advice from them. They did pull one of the lads in but he denied everything. It gets me so angry when this happens, you feel as though your hands are tied. You must be so worried about him now everytime he leaves the house. I know i felt as though i was going through hell. Try and encourage him to go out, otherwise the bas***ds will have gained something.

Very sorry to hear about this,I hope the lad is ok,my brother and his mate was beaten up by a gang of lads late one night coming home from a nightout,they did nothing to provoke the attack,they were jumped from behind by about the same number, how brave, 12 onto 1!!:mad: These days if you must walk after dark use well lit areas and stay away from side streets,

And why in your humble opinion do you not think it was a race related incident, come on open your eyes unless it was you. An eye for an eye is the only way to deal with these people.

I don't live in Accy but live over in Cleveleys,these attacks happen all over and to be fair may not be race but thuggery,is there bad feelings between whites and Asians in that area?

This sort of thing smacks of the gangsta rap image perpetuated by the media and picked up by young black guys for whom image and respect is everything. As the recent Letitia Shakespeare case has shown this sort of thing should be nipped in the bud, before it gets out of hand and these silly sods try getting hold of guns.
Why not try getting in touch with their community leaders as this sort of thing does`nt show them in a good light and remember both of the councillors in Central ward are Asian so see what their views are on this matter.

Good news, police just arrived to take photographs of my nephews injurys, its turned out that there is evidence but cal,nt say too much at the moment.

I just thought it was at night Ged,as Slinky say's I find it hard to believe no one saw anything!! best not say much more Ged as if it goes to court it may harm your sons case,I used to watch a show called Cops, it was a fly on the wall show where they follow police doing their beat in the US,one show had an LA cop showing how the streets were run by gangs,and how many killing and shootings took place every night between rival gangs,we will be following this sort of thing over here in time if were not careful!

I somehow missed this thread earlier. I'd just like to add my sympathy Ged and hope your son recovers. It's awful that people don't want to get involved by coming forward as witnesses but sadly this seems to be the case these days. I know from personal experience that even so-called "friends" can be very wary of getting involved. That this happened in broad daylight is appalling and if something isn't done then it's only going to get worse. Gangs like this will be above the law and running Accrington before long.

As for racism, racism is racism whether it's white against black, black against white, brown against pink or green against purple. In fact colour doesn't even come into the equation. If one brown race hates another brown race it is still racism. I just wish the powers that be would begin to understand that. NOt taking action against criminals because of their racial origin is awful.

thanks for your concern he is feeling much better just had his stiches out today, hopefully action will be taken not that i have much faith in the police anymore this has happened twice now.

And then people wonder why we have racial riots like in Burnley a couple of years ago.
This goes to show that these thugs run around in cars with placards against whites and walk the streets in gangs and cause mayhem.
I hope they charge some of them for attacking your son which i think is a disgrace in this day and age,and especially in broad daylight.

Where is the police presence during the day?
What are they doing to combat this behaviour?
Why is no-one ever hardly prosecuted?

Sorry to hear about the attack but well done to the taxi driver there are alot who would have carried on driving for fear of reprisals
